Tyler City Council Approves Grant Applications for Park Upgrades
The Tyler City Council has taken a significant step towards enhancing the city’s recreational spaces. On January 22, 2025, the council approved grant applications for upgrades to two local parks: Faulkner Park and Windsor Grove Nature Park.
Faulkner Park Improvements
The council approved an application for a $750,000 Boating Access Grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) to support improvements at Faulkner Park. These funds, if awarded, will be used to enhance the park’s facilities and accessibility.
Windsor Grove Nature Park Renovation
In addition to the Faulkner Park application, the council also approved a grant application for the renovation of Windsor Grove Nature Park. The proposed upgrades include:
- A paved walking trail around the park
